As the founder of Face To Face Solutions I have spent many hours doing ministry and some of the most profound and life changing events have happened while I have been on Youth Mission Trips. In recent years our parish has partnered with Youth Works for most of our youth mission trips. Youth Works is a non-profit organization located in Minneapolis, MN and they specialize in providing quality, life changing, mission experiences. http://www.youthworks.com When I speak about the events and experiences that I have had on my Youth Works trips, I can't do it without getting a tear in my eye. I can't explain why but I can tell you that these experiences have had a profound impact on my life and on the lives of the youth from our parish. I believe that the mission experiences of serving others is an important part of our youth's formative years. Mission trips provide experiences your youth will want to repeat and they will bring these experiences with them into their daily lives. Imagine how amazing our lives would be if everyone would look upon each other with a servant attitude. If we were able to lose the "it's all about me" attitude and really live to love and serve one another! This can happen if we continue to provide experiences for our youth where they can let the Spirit touch their inner most being and lead them to places they have never been before. Youth Works will have approximately 39,000 youth go through their missions programs this summer. That was not a typo..........39,000! Imagine if we could double this and then double it again! If your church is not doing youth missions you need to contact us. We will come in and provide you with a turn key operation to get youth missions started. You don't have to have a dedicated staff person. You don't have to know how to set it up. You don't have to worry about spending hours upon hours getting it going. All you need to do is find two volunteers who are willing to work with us and go on a mission trip with some youth from your parish. We will come in and train them and we will use our fun-raising program to raise all the money they need in one or two weekends. There is no reason why every church can't do youth missions. There is not a cost issue, there is not a staffing issue, there only needs to be a belief on your part that the youth of your parish deserve a chance to serve.
