Okay so here is my question. I am wondering if this concept works for non-profits to help them with their fundraising. Face To Face Solutions has partnered with the Star Tribune and the Water Park of America to offer some high profit fundraising. Here is the concept. The person donating receives a 52 week subscription to the Star Tribune sunday newspaper and 2 all day passes to the Water Park of America for just $51.48 (this is a total value of $108) and the non-profit gets a $20 commission from my company. The non-profit does a mailing and/or an email blast to their donor database. The orders are processed through the non-profit so they can track and submit them to Face To Face Solutions. The donor wins as they recieve the Sunday paper with all of the money saving coupons for just $.99 per week (over 50% off) and two passes to the Water Park of America (worth up to $80). I will have that update for you this week.What is Spinal Muscular Atrophy?Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Types I, II, and III belong to a group of hereditary diseases that cause weakness and wasting of the voluntary muscles in the arms and legs of infants and children. The disorders are caused by an abnormal or missing gene known as the survival motor neuron gene (SMN1), which is responsible for the production of a protein essential to motor neurons. Without this protein, lower motor neurons in the spinal cord degenerate and die. The type of SMA (I, II, or III) is determined by the age of onset and the severity of symptoms. Type I (also known as Werdnig-Hoffman disease, or infantile-onset SMA) is evident at birth or within the first few months. Symptoms include floppy limbs and trunk, feeble movements of the arms and legs, swallowing difficulties, a weak sucking reflex, and impaired breathing. Type II (also known as juvenile SMA, intermediate SMA, or chronic SMA, has an onset between 6 and 18 months. Legs tend to be more impaired than arms. Children with Type II are usually able to sit without support if placed in position. Some may be able to stand or walk with help. Type III (also called Wolhlfart-Kugelberg-Welander disease, or mild SMA) can begin as early as the toddler years or as late as adolescence. Children can stand alone and walk, but may have difficulty getting up from a sitting position.Is there any treatment?There is no cure for SMA. Treatment consists of managing the symptoms and preventing complications.What is the prognosis?The prognosis is poor for babies with SMA Type I. Most die within the first two years. For children with SMA Type II, the prognosis for life expectancy or for independent standing or walking roughly correlates with how old they are when they first begin to experience symptoms - older children tend to have less severe symptoms Children with onset after 18 months are often able to walk and are fully functional for years before they need assistance. They may have a normal life expectancy.

The disorders are caused by an abnormal or missing gene known as the survival motor neuron gene (SMN1), which is responsible for the production of a protein essential to motor neurons. Without this protein, lower motor neurons in the spinal cord degenerate and die. The type of SMA (I, II, or III) is determined by the age of onset and the severity of symptoms. Type I (also known as Werdnig-Hoffman disease, or infantile-onset SMA) is evident at birth or within the first few months. Symptoms include floppy limbs and trunk, feeble movements of the arms and legs, swallowing difficulties, a weak sucking reflex, and impaired breathing. Type II (also known as juvenile SMA, intermediate SMA, or chronic SMA, has an onset between 6 and 18 months. Legs tend to be more impaired than arms. Children with Type II are usually able to sit without support if placed in position. Some may be able to stand or walk with help. Type III (also called Wolhlfart-Kugelberg-Welander disease, or mild SMA) can begin as early as the toddler years or as late as adolescence. Children can stand alone and walk, but may have difficulty getting up from a sitting position.

It would be great if you could come to Throwbacks on April 18th from 3:00 to 6:00 and participate in all the events to raise money for three Woodbury families who have children with SMA. Tickets are $10.00 per adult and $5.00 per studentWe are also looking for raffle prizes so if you can donate any or know of anyone that may be able to, please let me know. These children and their families have a great deal of medical costs that continue to grow as they get older, including constant home repairs and medical equipment. Hopefully we can raise some money to make a difference in their lives. The children and families have personally touched my life, hopefully we can touch their lives by reaching out in a time of need. These families go through so much to attempt at a normal life, but the costs of there daily life are immense. The cost for a lift is around $18,000 and a wheelchair is close to $30,000. Independent Contractor Position Door To Door Sales

The primary goal of this position is to contact per a home visit, specific people who used to subscribe to the Star Tribune Sunday newspaper for just 50¢ per week. The reasons we are calling on these past customers are:
1. They used to get the Sunday Star Tribune newspaper home delivered and they have
discontinued their service.

2. We can not call them as the phone number is not a working number or they are on the
DO NOT CALL LIST INTERNALLY AT STAR TRIBUNE OR ON THE STATE
DO NOT CALL LIST. Telephone calling is not permitted; these calls must be made in
person.......................as our company name says..."FACE TO FACE"
3. We want to get these past subscribers back at the same rate of 50¢ per week. You do not
need to collect any money as the customers will be billed.

Contractors will be assigned addresses within specific zip codes. We will provide you the address list within the zip code in alpha numerical order.
Contractors will be provided with flyers to leave if the potential customer is not home. If a potential customer calls in to restart the paper the contractor will receive full commission for that sale.

Get 41 sales per week at $30.00 commission per sale is a nice commission check of $1230.00 for the week!!!

Feel free to call our hot line number at 612-673-4614 to hear our message people will hear if they call in off a door hanger/flyer you leave if they are not home. Door hangers or flyers are only to be used if no one answers the door.

Contractors will be provided with a sales script that does not necessarily have to be followed but is good information to talk about with these past customers who were receiving the Sunday Star Tribune for only 50¢ a week. You can use it for ideas on how you want to pitch the customers at their door.

If we were able to lose the "it's all about me" attitude and really live to love and serve one another! This can happen if we continue to provide experiences for our youth where they can let the Spirit touch their inner most being and lead them to places they have never been before. Youth Works will have approximately 39,000 youth go through their missions programs this summer. That was not a typo..........39,000! Imagine if we could double this and then double it again! If your church is not doing youth missions you need to contact us. We will come in and provide you with a turn key operation to get youth missions started. You don't have to have a dedicated staff person. You don't have to know how to set it up. You don't have to worry about spending hours upon hours getting it going.
